The Studio

Our Philosophy

All pilates instructors are trained to look at the body in front of them. At The Center Studio, we consider the person living inside the body. Our clients range from 13-104 years old and come in all shapes, sizes and levels of experience.

We teach clients who are pregnant and those who have Parkinson’s. We teach clients who have never exercised before and clients who are triathletes. Some are trying to slim down, some want muscle definition. All come to us with the desire to feel good in the skin they live in.

Each session is customized, the process and progress look different, but our goal for every client is the same: Educate the mind, move the body and notice the amazing changes that happen as a result of the Pilates Method of Body Conditioning.

Reformer
A low, metal bed with a carriage (sliding padded board) that allows a series of rhythmic and flowing exercises using spring resistance.
Cadillac
A framed metal unit that resembles a small canopy bed, equipped with springs, straps and bars for resistance and stretching. This apparatus offers countless focused exercises for almost every major muscle group.
Wall Unit
A modified version of the Cadillac with a raised floor mat and a spring resistance system mounted to the wall. This “Tower” serves double-duty for Cadillac exercises and mat work.
Wunda Chair
This “magic” small chair has a padded top and a foot pedal with humbling spring settings. It challenges intermediate and advanced clients to isolate muscles and balance asymmetries.
Electric Chair
Looks can be deceiving, but don’t let the name fool you. This piece of equipment offers exercises for alignment, strength and balance.
Pedi Pole
A T-shaped pole with a solid base and two springs and handles hooked at each end of the T. The long pole is representative of the spine and the exercises enhance symmetry, balance, coordination, and breath.
Ladder Barrel
An adjustable wooden structure with a half-barrel and ladder rungs which allows correct execution of exercises and stretches for a variety of body heights and types.
Spine Corrector
As the love child of the Small Barrel and a box, this piece of equipment allows for strengthening and stretching the shoulders and hips while deepening the core.
Small Barrel
A half-moon shaped apparatus that can be added to mat work for extra support and stretching.
Small Accessories
Push Up Bars, Foot Corrector, Toe Exerciser
