Jessica was introduced to the Pilates method in 2013 while obtaining her BFA in Dance at Adelphi University. Pilates became a second love as she experienced its benefits: enabling her to sustain a longer and stronger career as a Professional Dancer. Jessica was quickly inspired to continue her journey with Pilates by becoming an instructor and teaching others to better understand their bodies.
Jessica completed her certification in 2019. She is certified by the United States Pilates Association™, a licensee of the New York Pilates Studio® Teacher Certification Program, the first and oldest Pilates professional training program in the world. She currently trains under Brett Howard, Director of Education of the USPA and second generation teacher certified by Joseph Pilates’ protégé Romana Kryzanowska. She also trains with Tetsuo Yoshida—3rd generation teacher, and Teacher Trainer for the USPA.
Jessica continues to dance professionally in the greater NYC/NJ area. She hopes to share her knowledge and background of movement with individuals to help them reconnect with their bodies on a deeper level. She helps her clients by focusing on form, increasing their flexibility, and improving their overall body strength and awareness through challenging and rehabilitative workouts.
